The Philadelphia Planning Commission has some great descriptions of current projects for the Philadelphia metro region on their websit. Some of these projects are quite good looking and worth glancing at to get an idea of what the city is trying to do with various parts of the city in order to become more green.

- I am a senior at Temple University focusing on Environmental Studies and Geography and Urban Studies. My personal history is very much associated with rural central Virginia, and it was there that I gained a great respect for the natural systems of the earth that incorporate us all. I currently am living in the great city of Philadelphia, and therefore am currently able to explore the other extreme of the environmental spectrum. This city is my home and I put a huge amount of value in it's future as a green city.
